Games Approach to Coaching

Of course every coach wants to make practice more game-like. The simulation of game-like skills in practice is sometimes easier for athletes to grasp when they are really in the game and the smoother transition makes coaches using these methods look like geniuses. The "revolution" is known as the games-approach to coaching and is based on the concept that you can teach kids things better in games rather than drills because games are more stimulating. I have often used the games approach and had great success using it. I encourage you to incorporate some games into your practices asap.
